Josh Tagi, The Galactic Core (OCTOBER THEME: 'PERFECT PANORAMAS')
This shot was planned in advance and executed during my last stay in the Grampians in June 2020. I used the PhotoPills app to determine when the galactic core of the Milky Way would be present above the horizon and the BOM forecast indicated that it would be clear in Dunkeld overnight. As such, I woke up at 3:30am and took this panorama to capture the entirety of the galactic core of the Milky Way, including the nearby town of Dunkeld on the left, Mt Sturgeon in the middle, and Mt Abrupt on the right.
