Anne Algar, Slow motion (PEOPLE WILDERNESS 2024)
Taken in the heat of the day at Kalamina Gorge in Karijini National Park I set the longest exposure possible to slow the water down. As hikers passed through the frame their movement was captured as ghostlike transient forms in opposition to the solid rock geology that is millions of years old. I wanted to give this image a high key feel to mimic the heat and bright light at this time of day.
