Deb Clark, Ocean Snow (PLACES WILDERNESS 2024)
There is nothing like some decent, dramatic weather to remind us who is in charge. After sitting through 2 hurricanes, and with the wind still howling, this scene caught my eye. Snow in the ocean is something I had not seen before Norway and it was mesmerising. Hand-held, I had to fight hard in the wind to get a slightly long exposure of 0.5 seconds here just to streak out the water as it surged over the rocks. I was really happy when the clouds gave way to let a sliver of light through to show off the stunning water colour. Captured in Reine, Norway with a Nikon Z8 and Z24-70 2.8 lens.
