Lake Mungo is located in the Willandra Lakes area, in New South Wales. The Willandra Lakes filled with water from the mountains to the east. Over time the levels of the lakes fluctuated depending on the climate. Today the lake is dry. Lunettes are eroded dunes that show layers of silt and sand deposited over tens of thousands of years. This image was captured from Red Top Lookout in Mungo National Park. The image was captured with a Nikon Z7ii camera, a Nikkor Z 24-200mm lense, f8, 1/125 second, ISO 100 and Exposure Compensation of +0.7.
