Benjamin Maze, Maybe One Day (PLACES WILDERNESS 2023)

Mid-afternoon sunlight spills over a crashing waterfall in the limestone gorges of Kosciuszko National Park. I had no prior intention of capturing this image, and in fact was on a scouting mission while I waited for sunset. However, this beautiful light rendered itself so perfectly in this scene that it became my favourite image from the trip. With a long drive and 8 river crossings each way to capture this waterfall, I was certainly glad to come away with one of my favourite images.
