Angela Siejka, Leopard Seal Resting in Bay of Fires Tasmania (NATURE WILDERNESS 2024)

Leopard Seal ( or Sea Leopard).... Hydrurga Leptonyx. We spotted this gorgeous creature resting , as we walked along Binalong Bay Beach in May 2023. Photographed with a 300mm zoom lens, so we stayed quite a distance from the Leopard Seal. It is the 2nd largest seal in the Antarctic and its only predator is the Orca.
