Dave Wynne, Glass House Mountains Sun Dance (PLACES WILDERNESS 2022)

A moody afternoon with some squalling rain and break through sunshine at the Glass House Mountains on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. The mountains are listed on the Queensland and National Heritage Register as a landscape of national importance due to their cultural significance to the area's traditional Aboriginal owners, the Gubbi Gubbi people. Historically, this was a special meeting place where Aboriginal people gathered for ceremonies and trading, and many of their ceremonial sites are still present. On this day, a friend and I walked to the top of Wild Horse Mountain Lookout to capture this stunning view.
