Jack Schmidt, Colours and Curves (PLACES WILDERNESS 2023)

In my opinion this would have to be one of the most unique mountain top views in Australia. To experience these views you will need to endure a tough off track hike straight up through dense bush, in the harsh FNQ sun. The picture perfect composition this landscape naturally produces, could almost have you believing it was a painting. The leading lines of the mangrove creek systems and rugged mountain ranges in the background are brought to life with vibrant colours for about a 10 minute window on sunset. Outside that 10 minute window you just don't get those magical colours. it's taken me a couple years of hiking this mountain to finally nail this shot.
