Kevin Whitehead, Climbing Conical Hill on the Routeburn Track (May theme: FLORA)

After lunching at the Harris Saddle hut, some of the group elected to ascend Conical Hill (1515m) on an increasingly windy afternoon. The views were spectacular, the wildflowers sublime.
