Wacharachat Vaiyaboon, Aurora Panorama (PLACES WILDERNESS 2024)
SNOW - AURORA - PANO - 2050m Late night’s Aurora was nothing short of spectacular! My Facebook feed was overflowing with stunning images. I hope you managed to catch it if you had a clear sky, though Sydney was predictably rainy and cloudy. This photo might be one of the highest captures of the Aurora Australis in Australia from that night. It was taken two weeks ago in Thredbo at an elevation of 2050 meters, just off Karels T-Bar. The lights and beams to the left are the Aurora Australis. The mountain’s rock outcrop is illuminated by the working groomers and snowcat. The blue glow at the end of the Milky Way on the right comes from Jindabyne, and on the far right, just below the snow, you can see Thredbo Village. Captured with 8 images using a Canon R5 and Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8 IS L lens. Exposure: 30" f/2.8 ISO 3200 Enjoy,
