Chelle Fisher, A Locals Summer at Prawn Rock Channel (PEOPLE WILDERNESS 2022)

The Prawn Rock Channel at Ocean Beach in Denmark, Western Australia is a changeable place with the change of water colour which occurs when the inlet is an inlet... or an outlet. When the water flows INTO the Inlet from the ocean (via a channel which is dug at the end of Ocean Beach) the water is ocean-y blue and turquoise as it is seen in this image. Cool and fresh, this water flows into the inlet and up Prawn Rock Channel. The water is fresh and ocean-cold and makes it THE PLACE TO BE by locals and tourists alike.
