Winners of the second annual Great Walks Wilderness Photographer of the Year 2022, presented by Southern Ocean Walk, will be announced this Friday 27 January 2023.
The Winners, Runners-up and Top 10 entries in the 2022 Wilderness Photographer of the Year 2022, presented by Southern Ocean Walk, will be announced at www.greatwalks.com.au this Friday 27 January 2023. Check the homepage from 11am AEST for the big announcement.
Also on Friday, emails will be sent to category Winners, Runners-up, Top 10, Top 20, Highly Commended and Commended photographers with a certificate confirming their placing in the competition.
With a prize pool of $12,000, including $5,000 cash and $7000 in prizes, the 2023 photo competition received almost 700 entries (a significant increase in numbers from the previous year).
Prizes on offer from our amazing sponsors include a 4-day Southern Ocean Walk luxury hiking experience (valued at $2290), a Life's An Adventure pack-free guided walk (valued at $3,600) and two GME personal locator beacons valued at $360 each.
Winners, Runners-up and Top 10 images are also showcased in the latest issue of Great Walks (Feb-Mar 2023), which will be delivered to subscribers and newsagents in the coming week.
Wilderness Photographer of the Year 2022 was judged by Ryan Domenico, Mike Edmondson, Julie Fletcher, Mike O’Connor and Stephanie Vella.
