Check out this great entry in our Wilderness Photographer of the Year, presented by Southern Ocean Walk.
This image of a group of hikers at NZ's Tongariro Circuit taken by Darren Patterson makes full use of its wide angles and great depth of field to revealing plenty of details.
"One of the advantages of closed borders is that its meant many of our Great Walks have been a lot quieter than normal," writes Darren. "This photo is taken on the Tongariro Northern Circuit just below the highest point, Red Peak. It's also Easter Week which would normally mean this route would be full of people walking the crossing.
"We were but a few of the people on the track this day and as you look into the distance you can see the path we've taken across the crater. A truly stunning view."
