The North Face Adventure Grant for 2025 is officially open and they’ll be accepting applications until 1 December 2024.

They’re supporting explorers from across Australia and New Zealand with an $8000 cash grant, and $2000 worth of gear, so that they can play different.

Applications for 2025 expeditions close on December 1, 2024, and a winner will be announced on 12 December 2024 on The North Face website and social channels.

About The North Face Adventure Grant
For over a decade The North Face has been working with inspiring applicants of the Adventure Grant to help turn their expedition dreams into a reality. Every year, the grant is awarded to an explorer, or team of explorers from Australia or New Zealand who are pushing exploration forward through unique pursuits.

Rather than only focusing on elite athletes, the grant is designed to assist adventurers of all levels. The North Face is seeking applicants from a wide range of areas such as rock climbing, trekking, alpine climbing, extreme endurance pursuits, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking and more.

2024 Grantee Expedition – Joe River, New Zealand
The grantees for 2024 included kayakers Mike Dawson, George Snook and River Mutton. This kayaking trio from Okere Falls, New Zealand, set off to cover 140km of remote wilderness to attempt the first descent of the Joe River, navigating the river from the summit to the sea. While they did not complete their expedition objective, the team will be back to attempt the first descent.
