New transfer service for Light to Light walkers

Comments Comments

A new transfer service is now helping walkers get to the iconic 31km Light to Light Walk in Ben Boyd National Park, southern NSW.

“Light to Light Transfers” is operated by Jenny and Arthur Robb who ran camping tours on the Walk before the Park was impacted by the Black Summer bushfires in January 2020.

The track was so badly damaged, it was feared it would be years before it re-opened, but thankfully walkers were back in November 2020. Many avid walkers followed the progress and jumped at the chance to walk this beautiful coastline to see how it was recovering.

Getting to the track isn’t straightforward; the southern track-head is an hour from the nearest town of Eden.

As the only current operator holding a NPWS approved Transportr Licence, Light to Light Transfers uses a comfortable AWD vehicle and take only four passengers in a group so that Covid-safe measures can be practised.

You don’t only get a transfer, though. The Robbs and their local drivers know this area well and give you all the tips you need to ensure you get the most out of your experience, including tips on where to eat and stay pre- and post-walk.
