We love this entry in our Wilderness Photographer of the Year presented by Southern Ocean Walk.

Dave Wynne's photo of Qld's Glass House Mountains looks like a watercolour painting, and with the sunlight streaming through the clouds the whole thing is quite ethereal.

"A moody afternoon with some squalling rain and break through sunshine at the Glass House Mountains on Queensland's Sunshine Coast," write Dave.

"The mountains are listed on the Queensland and National Heritage Register as a landscape of national importance due to their cultural significance to the area's traditional Aboriginal owners, the Gubbi Gubbi people. Historically, this was a special meeting place where Aboriginal people gathered for ceremonies and trading, and many of their ceremonial sites are still present. On this day, a friend and I walked to the top of Wild Horse Mountain Lookout to capture this stunning view."
