Chris Arkey, Into the clouds (November theme: Bad Weather)
The weather had been generally good during our walk on the Dingle Way in Ireland with the expected shower of rain falling every now and then. On day 7 we woke to heavy threatening skies that showed no signs of breaking up as we enjoyed breakfast. The walking notes made it very clear that the day would be challenging, with a combination of very boggy boreens to negotiate, steep climbs and slippery/difficult descents to survive, plus an overall distance of around 25 kilometres that tested us to the very end.
