Nicki Letts, How small we are (June theme: Awesome Campsites)
Camping at Mount Cook, NZ, in February comes with its own soundtrack. The glaciers slowly melt causing ice to crack and tumble down the cliffs. Our sleep was punctuated by what sounded like thunder but turned out to be avalanches. A stark reminder of how small we are in those mountains.
